Disodium EDTA — Chelating Agent and Sequestrant

EDTA 2NaAI-generated image

Disodium EDTA (Na2EDTA) is the partially neutralized sodium salt of EDTA, carrying a lower sodium load than the tetrasodium form and a slightly acidic reaction in solution. Like the tetrasodium salt it functions as a raw chelating agent and water conditioner rather than a pre-chelated micronutrient, sequestering free metal ions in hard water to keep spray-tank mixes stable.

Form
Fine powder or microgranule
Solubility
100% water-soluble
Key Features
  • Raw chelating agent with lower sodium load than tetrasodium EDTA
  • Sequesters free metal ions in hard irrigation or spray water
  • Used as a tank-mix stabilizer rather than a standalone nutrient source
Packaging

Available in 1 kg, 5 kg and 25 kg moisture-proof bags. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and humidity.

About This Category

Chelation surrounds metal nutrients (Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Ca, Mg) with protective organic molecules, keeping them fully soluble and plant-available across a wide range of soil pH levels to ensure effective nutrient delivery.
